It is now the final Quarter. Overall, this school year has been a fantastic learning experience. In our ICT class, I learned a lot throughout the school year. This quarter, we familiarized ourselves with the fundamental ideas of Microsoft FrontPage, such as the many parts of it and the significance of MS FrontPage. We do, however, continue to write and publish  blogs and make comments on them. Challenges and setbacks are a vital part of learning, therefore I had some difficulties in ICT this quarter, but I remained calm and determined to conquer them. As we approach the end of the school year in our ICT class, I am grateful and thankful to our Almighty God for allowing me to complete the last quarter of this school year despite the Covid-19 pandemic. All I have to do now is put those lessons into practice in my daily life since I know that  they are important and will always be relevant in my life as a student-person. Raise awareness and take action in order to Restore the Ecosystem

Image
Every year , we celebrates World Environment Day, which serves as a major platform for raising environmental awareness and encouraging people to take action. This year's theme is 'Ecosystem Restoration.' We have been abusing and ruining our planet's ecosystems for far too long. Every three seconds, the globe loses enough forest to cover a football field, and we have destroyed half of our wetlands in the previous century. Restoration can take numerous forms, such as planting actively or eliminating stresses so that nature can heal itself. Returning an ecosystem to its former state isn't always possible - or desirable. On land that was previously forest, for example, we still need farms and infrastructure, and ecosystems, like society, must adapt to climate change. At a time when mankind can least afford it, ecosystem degradation is robbing the globe of carbon sinks such as forests and peatlands. For the third year in a row, global greenhouse gas emissi...

The Pearl of the Orient Seas has been freed

Image
After more than 300 years under Spanish domination, the Pearl of the Orient Seas has been emancipated, and Independence Day Philippines is one of the most important festivities in the country. Every June 12th, the Philippines celebrates its independence. Emilio Aguinaldo first raised the Philippine flag and declared independence in Kawit, Cavite, after hundreds of years under Spanish rule. This was also the place where  the Marcha Nacional Filipina, which became the music to the Philippines national anthem, was first heard. The Philippines was under Spanish administration from the 16th through the 19th centuries. Filipinos attempted to break free in 1896, which ended in the Philippine Revolution. On June 12, 1898, Emilio Aguinaldo declared Philippine independence, despite the fact that the country lacked two key characteristics of statehood: territory and sovereignty. The area lacked the legitimacy that comes with international recognition. Aguinaldo's government lacked sovereig...

A memorable day for all the moms.

Image
Everyone has a mother, so it isn't surprising that throughout the world there are ways of honoring and celebrating mothers day. Mother's Day is a time to think about the legacies – personal and societal – mothers and grandmothers pass on. Historically, mothers have had a key role in building and maintaining connections across generations. Even today, they are most often the "kinkeepers" in families and take the lead in passing down family stories, life lessons, and traditions. Honoring this role of mothers is part of the story behind Mother's Day – but not all of it. In past times ‘mothering’ was considered to be the quality of living wisdom that was shown, lived, nurtured and expressed towards others, it could not be reduced or defined by one’s ‘doing’ nor was it ever limited to the physicality of whether one had children or not, more emphasis was placed on a constant way of being that was shared with all others. Hence – true Mothering ...

Viva Vigan Binatbatan Festival

Viva Vigan Binatbatan Festival of the Arts celebrated from the last week of April to the first week of May was originally the Feast of the Natives that began on May 3, 1883, according to the writings of Damaso King, a well-known Vigan historian.  Binatbatan Festival celebrations, which includes a street dancing competition. Binatbatan dancing is connected to Vigan’s abel Iloco craft. The dance depicts how cotton pods are beaten with bamboo sticks to release the cotton fluff called batbat from its seed. This festival was started in 2002 to showcase this traditional weaving craft that is said to predate the arrival of the Spaniards. This summer festival,  crafted in 1993 to nurture the pride of Bigueños in their unique and and historic city,  it serves as one of the biggest and most colorful cultural attractions in the city of Vigan. This year's festival, in 2021, was held in the midst of the current pandemic, and they just repeated th...

Women Empowerment; She will triumph in the midst of adversity.

Image
In a world where women are often misjudged for the most trivial of choices, can we really say that women are empowered at all? Probably not. We must first understand that we need to empower women before we can discuss how to do so. The explanation for this is straightforward and universal. Women deserve to be empowered and treated equally because they are not the weaker gender. It is their right to have access to all of the resources and advantages that have previously only been available to men. A woman has the right to live in dignity, free from hunger and terror. Women's empowerment is a critical component of growth and poverty reduction. Women who are empowered boost the health and productivity of their families and communities, as well as the opportunities for future generations. Women empowerment does not imply granting her wealth. Empowerment starts with small but significant steps that lead to positive change. All has changed as a result of the recent coro...

What I've learned

Image
Another chapter begins as one concludes. I gain a lot of lessons as I progress down the path and begin my journey in 3rd Quarter in ICT Subject. It was a great deal of enjoyment for me to do so. However, there were a few challenges this 3rd Quarter. We concentrated on community-based research in the third quarter. However, we continue to publish blogs and leave comments on blogs. I learned a lot about our own community by focusing on community-based research. And I was given the opportunity to learn more about our community. I also discovered that community-based research can contribute significantly to our understanding of how local environments affect a population's health. Challenges and failures are necessary for learning. I had some troubles in ICT Subject throughout the third quarter, but I remained calm and tough and tried my best to overcome them. Moving on, every quarter I will continue to learn new lessons. And I am grateful because, even though we are curr...
